Facilitator Roundtable: Advancing Forensic Interviewer Peer Review

Southern Regional CAC is pleased to host Facilitator Roundtable: Advancing Forensic Interviewer Peer Review. This opportunity will allow participants to gain a basic understanding of healthy facilitation techniques, discuss the most productive structure for peer review that’s based on research, and have an opportunity to build relationships with other participants.

The roundtables will consist of virtual 120-minute meetings held every other month. Each session will start in a large group format to review a special topic relevant to facilitating peer review for forensic interviewers, and then participants will move to Zoom breakout rooms for small group discussions and resource sharing. The meeting closes with all participants returning together in one large group for a Q&A with SRCAC staff.

In between the virtual sessions, SRCAC staff will send check-in emails to the cohort that consist of additional readings, research, or literature that highlights the discussion in the roundtable session. Included in this check-in will be prompts to invite participants to apply practical experience. Participants will have an opportunity to have SRCAC staff observe a peer review session to provide feedback on facilitation skills learned in the roundtable sessions.

Targeted Audience

Participation is open to eligible professionals who are currently tasked with facilitating peer review sessions for forensic interviewers. These sessions can be run at the local CAC level, statewide level or regional level. Participants will be asked to complete evaluation surveys after each session.

Participants must be available to participate in each roundtable session. The inability to participate in all roundtables will make you ineligible to participate (please confirm availability before applying)
